Announcement: Curious Souls Get Together – 10th meeting : Postponed to June 8,2014 – Sunday !

Dear Curious Souls,

I am deeply sorry to postpone our event to Sunday June 8,2014. The initial date: May 31,2014 is the anniversary of the Gezi events and most probably it will not be very safe or possible to enter the Taksim area. So after checking with some members and the gallery owner, I decided to postpone the event to the Sunday of the next week. I hope this schedule change would not cause a lot of disappointments in you. Nevertheless, I can assure that you will have a very enjoyable and exquisitely interesting day together with us :-))

On June 8,2014, there will be a photography exhibition at the gallery with the title: “Traces of Istanbul” by Artist Elif Suyabatmaz.

This is how Gama Art Gallery describes the exhibition:

“Traces of Istanbul”photography exhibition is subtle impressions of a city and its occupants. Traces of places and people who commute and exist in a transition state. The city and its unnoticed moments in daily life are the main subject along with a strong characteristic of the city as a backdrop. All photographs are shot exclusively with a mobile phone.

I am also very happy to announce that Ms.Elif Suyabatmaz, most probably, will be with us at our event 🙂 She is bilingual – so we  will have no problem in communicating with her; and I think this may be a very good opportuntiy to exchange information with her on her exhibition and to comtemplate on how different or how similar we may be observing the same city that we live in!

So I hope see you all at our event and I am impatiently looking forward to June 8,2014.
